the art issue...

By the summer of 2015,  7 POST had a backlog of artistic and cultural content as a consequence of billing itself as "a cultural magazine that treats fashion as an important element of today's culture". The editors decidedtherefore to produce a special Art issue, which went on sale separately from 7 POST in July 2015. The cover was a collage of Peter Paul Hartnett Polaroid images shot in the London club Taboo in the mid-1980s. The issue also contained the Mickey Rat strip by Zach Havas, unpublished photos of Michael Jackson by Arno Bani, a story about rediscovered silk designs from the 1920s by Michel Dubost, an auto-interview by Katerina Jebb and a photo-feature on the New York S&M scene by Natasha Gornik, who has been compared to Nan Goldin. This stand-alone special issue would lead to the spin-off title 7 POST ART, conceived as a support for Highway Production's art and photography-related events and pop-up exhibitions.
